Indian immigration law firms feel the heat
The immigration law firms in India are now witnessing a decrease in demand for H1B visas due to economic slowdown coupled with Obama's recent announcement to tax companies that outsource services. As Saju James, Managing Director of Fragomen, an immigration law firm says, "There has been a 100 percent decrease in the number of applications this year, given that most companies are now into cost cutting. In the initial years, the visa petitions used to come in by September. Slowly, with the increase in demand for professional workers in the U.S., the quota started getting filled up by April 1st itself." This year again, due to the impact of recession, the quota is not yet filled up.

 New Flash drives to replace the hard drives in future
Apacer, a digital storage hardware and software company launched two flash drives-Serial Advanced Technology Attachment [SATA] flash drive 254 for industrial purpose and SATA flash drive 254 M for commercial purpose. "Flash drive technology is the next big thing and Apacer finds demand in military, medical, surveillance, banking and laptop market.. We estimate that in future 50 percent of laptops will use this technology," says Sriram Venkat, India Country Head, Apacer.
